Armstrong The Brain® Digital Mixing Center (DMC) is specifically designed as a primary water temperature controller for circulating hot water systems. The DMC is equipped with The Brain® digital recirculation valve, which is engineered for continuous recirculation hot water systems to improve system performance and safety by delivering a consistent pre-set temperature to the point of use.
Innovative digital technology resists "temperature creep" when system demand is zero, eliminating the need for manual throttling valves, auxiliary RTDs, or temperature-controlled switches for controlling pumps. The Brain® is capable of operating at a system return water temperature differential of just 1°C below the setpoint, resulting in an energy-efficient, low heat-loss system. User safety and overall system health are maintained through a series of programmable temperature alarms, online operational self-diagnostics, and thermal disinfection options.
The DMC is a complete pre-assembled unit featuring five connection interfaces to simplify installation. DMC components include isolation valves, check valves, and strainers. Complete DMC models (excluding the DMC Flex) are also equipped with thermometers and pressure gauges.
As a critical component of a water safety management plan, SAGE® software can monitor, record, and archive data. SAGE® is compatible with various Building Automation System (BAS) protocols, or users can utilize a subscription service to access SAGE® on mobile devices.
