BURKERT 20137167 Type 3361 Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

BURKERT 20137167 Type 3361 electromotive 2-way globe control valve. Features DN 40 flange connection, 0-25 bar pressure range, 24 V DC supply, and stainless steel body for highly precise, dynamic closed-loop control.

BURKERT 20137167 Type 3361 Electromotive 2-Way Globe Control Valve

BURKERT 20137167 Type 3361 is an innovative electromotive 2-way globe control valve designed for demanding operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw positions the control cone with the highest precision at a high positioning speed of up to 6 mm/s, reacting almost delay-free to process signals. This specific variant features a DN 40 flange connection, a stainless steel body, and operates at 24 V DC with a pressure range of 0 to 25 bar. The closed design and robust surface ensure hygienic requirements for fast and residue-free cleaning, while the IP65/IP67 protection class makes it highly resistant to harsh environmental conditions, impacts, and vibrations.

Unrivalled service life and tightness are guaranteed by the proven self-adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3361 provides many helpful functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and predictive maintenance, offering a decisive advantage in modern process automation.

Performance Specifications

Operating Limits for Medium Temperature and Operating Pressure

In addition to the maximum operating pressures, the application range of Bürkert process valves is limited by the nominal pressure in accordance with the relevant standard.

BURKERT 20137167 Type 3361 operating limits for medium temperature and operating pressure

Operating Limits for Seat Seal

  • Stainless Steel (Metal seals): -40 °C to +230 °C. Leakage class III/IV. Impervious even under demanding process conditions.
  • PTFE (Soft seals): -40 °C to +130 °C. Leakage class VI.
  • PEEK (Soft seals): -10 °C to +230 °C. Leakage class VI.

Product Design and Assembly

The electromotive linear drive consists of a brushless DC motor, a gear, and a spindle system that transfers the force to the closing element. The integrated electronics are controlled either by standard signals or via a fieldbus (digital).

Maintenance and Service

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.

Risk of injury due to improper replacement

Spare parts may be replaced only by trained technicians and with the appropriate tools. Do not reach into the openings of the valve body if electrically connected devices are not installed in the pipeline.

Replacing the Control Cone

  1. Set operating state to MANUAL.
  2. Move valve into the open position.
  3. Switch off the supply voltage and wait until the LED illuminated ring goes out.
  4. Remove actuator from the valve body.
  5. Knock out the dowel pin using a suitable pin punch (4 mm for DN 10-20, 5 mm for DN 25-50).
  6. Remove the old control cone and attach the new one to the spindle.
  7. Align bores, support the control cone on a prism, and carefully knock in the new dowel pin.
  8. Mount the actuator back on the valve body and apply supply voltage.
  9. Run the X.TUNE function to adjust position control.

Running X.TUNE

Do not run X.TUNE without requirement! The X.TUNE function must be run again only when the actuator has been removed afterwards or the valve body has been changed. Never run the X.TUNE under medium pressure.
