Yoshitake TD-30NA, TD-10NA Thermodynamic Steam Traps

Yoshitake TD-30NA and TD-10NA disc-type thermodynamic steam traps. Features built-in strainer, bimetal air-venting, and ductile cast iron body for steam condensate up to 220°C.

Yoshitake TD-30NA, TD-10NA Thermodynamic Steam Traps

Yoshitake TD-30NA and TD-10NA are high-performance disc-type thermodynamic steam traps designed for steam condensate applications. Featuring a built-in bimetal ring, these traps solve air-binding problems and ensure smooth discharge of cold condensate or air at startup, enabling steam equipment to run efficiently. The models are compact, lightweight, and suitable for a wide range of industrial heating and condensate removal tasks.

Features

  • Bimetal Air Venting: Solves air-binding and ensures smooth discharge of cold condensate/air at the start of operation.
  • Exceptional Durability: The stainless steel valve disc and valve seat are subjected to special heat treatment.
  • Easy Inline Repair: The valve disc, valve seat, and bimetal can be replaced on-site without removing the steam trap from the piping.
  • Simple Structure: Easy maintenance and inspection, with the valve disc being the only movable part.
  • Wide Range: Applicable in a wide working pressure range and adjustment-free.
  • Installation Flexibility: Installable in any direction (horizontally, vertically, or inclined) and easy to plumb.
  • Air Insulation: Free of improper operation and steam leakage due to the air insulation type.
  • Built-in Strainer: Eliminates the need for a separate strainer before the product.
  • High Capacity: Large discharge capacity despite its compact size.

Maximum Continuous Discharge Capacity

When selecting a trap, ensure a safety factor of 4 to 5 times the regular condensate level. The chart below shows the maximum continuous discharge capacity based on operating differential pressure.

Installation Guidelines

The steam trap can be installed horizontally, vertically, or inclined.

Installation Best Practices

  • Remove foreign matter and scales from the lines before connecting the valve.
  • Ensure the fluid flow direction matches the inlet and outlet ports.
  • Do not use a quick-operating valve in front of and behind the trap to prevent water hammer.
  • Install the trap in the lowest possible position to collect condensate, and maintain piping slope.
  • Do not insulate the product, as the air-insulated cover requires exposure to the atmosphere to function properly.
  • When installing on a main steam pipe, provide a drip leg before the trap.

Maintenance and Disassembly

When installing, secure adequate space for maintenance and checking (such as cleaning the screen).

Maintenance Warning

  • Do not touch the trap directly with bare hands while operating or immediately after stopping.
  • Remove all internal pressure of the product, piping, and equipment before disassembly and inspection, and allow the product to cool down.
