Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular electropneumatic valve island designed for direct integration into Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP and ET 200SP HA. Features LC display and safety shut-off.

Burkert Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral system “SIMATIC ET 200SP” and “SIMATIC ET 200SP HA” from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders, or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs.
If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve. This can save time on start-up and maintenance.
Combining modules from the distributed Siemens I/O systems SIMATIC ET 200SP/SP HA with the valve block AirLINE SP Type 8647 provides an integrated system of electronic and pneumatic components.

The pneumatic supply and deaeration of the valve block occurs via connection units. Furthermore, the valve block is fixed to the standard rail via the connection units. Connection units can be optionally equipped with a pressure gauge or electronic pressure sensor.

Valve units convert the electrical control signals of the interface module into pneumatic output signals and provide the pneumatic outputs. There are valve units with four valve slots or with eight valve slots.

Electronic Base Module (PQ module) The electronic base module contains the electrical plug-in connections for the valves, the valve driving electronics, and the visual status indicators (LEDs and a graphics LCD).

Pneumatic Base Module The pneumatic base module supports the valves, ensures the pneumatic supply and deaeration of the valves, and provides the pneumatic outputs.

The pilot valve Type 6524 (single and double valve) and Type 6525 (single valve) consist of a pilot flipper solenoid valve Type 6144 and a pneumatic seat valve. The circuit function allows switching of high pressures with low power consumption and short switching times.

The solenoid valve Type 0460 consists of a pneumatic valve body fitted with a double coil pilot valve. The principle allows switching of high pressures together with low power consumption and fast switching times.

AirLINE Quick considerably reduces the use of components in the control cabinet. With the AirLINE Quick Adapter, the valve terminal is adapted directly to the control cabinet floor or control cabinet wall.

Safety Instructions
The electrical shutdown of valve Types 6524 and 6525 causes them to return to the rest position. The selection of the appropriate circuit function of the valve depends on the application and is the responsibility of the user.
System setup with the F-PM-E power module from Siemens If a valve block Type 8647 is operated in the potential group of an F-PM-E 24VDC/8A PPM ST power module of the ET 200SP, the load voltage of the valve block can be shut down by the power module for safety reasons. This variant has been documented and assessed in terms of safety.
