Burkert Type 0330 (Model 460216) is a direct-acting, media-separated pivoted armature solenoid valve. It features a maintenance-free pivoted armature technology and a vibration-proof, block-screwed coil system. The solenoid actuator and the medium chamber are separated from each other by a separating diaphragm system, making it highly suitable for critical and aggressive media. This specific model is configured as a 2/2-way normally closed valve with a brass body, FKM seals, and an NPT 1/4 port connection, operating at 120V/60Hz.

The valve is equipped with a service-friendly, robust manual override for start-up and testing. The solenoid coils are moulded with a chemically resistant epoxy, ensuring a long service life and reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.

Circuit Function

This model operates with Circuit Function A (CF A). It is a 2/2-way direct-acting solenoid valve that is normally closed in the rest position.

Dimensions

The device can be attached via the existing holes on the bottom side (hole pattern 38x24). For metal bodies, M4 screws are used.

Installation and Safety Guidelines

Dirt Trap Recommendation

For safe operation of the solenoid valve, a dirt trap (≤ 500 µm) must be installed before the valve inlet.

Installation Precautions

• Risk of breakage: Do not use the coil as a lever arm when installing.
• Hold the device on the body using the appropriate tool (open-ended spanner) and screw it into the pipeline.
• Use PTFE tape as a seal material.

Functional Safety

During a long period of downtime, at least 1–2 switching operations per restart are recommended to ensure proper functional safety.
