Burkert Type 0331 (SKU 51499) 3/2-way direct-acting solenoid valve. Features stainless steel body, flange connection, EPDM seal, 2.0mm orifice, 0-16 bar pressure range, and 110V AC operation.

BURKERT 51499 Type 0331 3/2-Way Direct-Acting Solenoid Valve, Flange, Stainless Steel

BURKERT 51499 Type 0331 is a direct-acting, media-separated pivoted armature 3/2-way solenoid valve. The solenoid actuator and the medium chamber are separated from each other by a separating membrane system. The valves are fast-acting and have a long service life. This specific model features a stainless steel body, flange connection, EPDM seal, and operates at 110V AC.

System Description

The Type 0331 valve is a direct-acting, media-separated pivoted armature valve. As a 3/2-way variant, it can be used as a distributor or mixing valve. The solenoid coils are moulded with a chemically resistant epoxy. Since the coil system is separated from the medium by a diaphragm, the valve is especially suitable for critical media such as aggressive acids and lyes. The 0331 is equipped with a manual override for start-up and testing.

Installation and Operation

Installation Safety

Risk of injury from high pressure in the system/device. Before working on equipment or device, switch off the pressure and deaerate/drain lines.

Installation position: As required, preferably with actuator upright. Dirt trap: For safe operation of the solenoid valve, a dirt trap (≤ 500 µm) must be installed before the valve inlet.

Manual Override

When manual override is locked, the valve cannot be electrically actuated. BURKERT 51499 Manual override

  1. Press and hold the manual override.
  2. Turn manual override clockwise.

Electrical Connection

BURKERT 51499 Electrical connection

  1. Cable plug
  2. Seal

Install an approved cable plug, e.g. Type 2518 or other suitable cable plug in accordance with DIN EN 175301-803 Design A. Observe voltage and current type in accordance with type label.
