Yoshitake GD-43-10 Pressure Reducing Valve for Water and Steam

Yoshitake GD-43-10 direct-acting pressure reducing valve for cold/hot water and cleaning/sterilization steam. Features cast stainless steel body and JIS 10K FF flanged connection.

Yoshitake GD-43-10 Pressure Reducing Valve for Water and Steam

Yoshitake GD-43-10 is a direct-acting pressure reducing valve designed for cold and hot water, as well as steam for washing or sterilization. Its wetted parts are made of cast stainless steel (SCS14A) for improved corrosion resistance, and it features a PTFE-covered diaphragm for high durability. The pressure balance structure maintains a constant reduced pressure without being affected by the inlet pressure.

Features

  • Space saving and resource saving are achieved.
  • Stainless steel (SCS14A and SUS316) is used for wetted parts, improving corrosion resistance.
  • PTFE covers diaphragm contact surface to fluid, making the diaphragm less liable to deteriorate and highly durable.
  • Special fluorine-contained rubber parts are resistant to corrosion.
  • Pressure balance structure can keep the reduced pressure at a constant level without being affected by inlet pressure.
  • Closed structure keeps fluid from flowing to outside.
  • Can be applied to piping washing, system washing, sterilization washing and steam for sterilization.

Specifications

WARNING

For model GD-43-10, the inlet pressure is 0.07 to 1.0 MPa. If using for washing steam or sterilization steam, be sure that the maximum temperature is 130°C and avoid continuous use for more than 30 minutes. The inlet pressure must be 0.2 MPa or less for steam for washing or sterilization. Allow an interval of at least four hours between steam blows.

Operation and Installation

Piping Example

Installation Precautions

  • Before connecting the pressure reducing valve to the piping, remove foreign materials from the piping.
  • Be sure to install a strainer (60 mesh or more) at the inlet side.
  • Install a safety valve at the outlet side to protect the equipment.
  • Attach pressure gauges to both the inlet and the outlet to properly regulate the pressure.
  • When installing a quick opening/closing device (e.g., solenoid valve), the distance from the pressure reducing valve must be at least 3 m.
  • Piping must be connected so that excessive load, deflection, and vibrations are not applied to the valve.

Maintenance Cautions

  • When using for a steam passage, the maximum temperature limit must be 130°C and the maximum primary pressure limit must be 0.2 MPa.
  • Before flowing fluid, close the stop valves at upstream and downstream and completely remove foreign materials using the bypass pipe.
  • When delivering steam, carbon dioxide gas, or nitrogen gas after cold/hot water, open each stop valve gradually to avoid water hammer.
