Yoshitake TSF-11AT Air Trap

Yoshitake TSF-11AT float and bucket type air trap for effective condensate discharge. Features ductile cast iron body, stainless steel float, and 2.1 MPa maximum pressure.

Yoshitake TSF-11AT Air Trap

Yoshitake TSF-11AT is an air trap suitable for discharging condensate. It utilizes a float mechanism and is capable of handling maximum working differential pressures up to 2.1 MPa. The product is designed with a ductile cast iron body and stainless steel main components, offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance.

Features

  1. The TSF-11AT can discharge condensate effectively without retention, and prevent the equipment piping for corrosion.
  2. Flow direction can be switched easily without disassembly such as detaching the cover.
  3. Since the main parts are installed on the cover, it is possible to disassemble the cover even the body installed on the piping.
  4. Inspection and parts replacement can be conducted easily.

Flow Direction

The flow direction when shipping is adjusted from left to right. When using from right to left, the direction can be adjusted by turning the cock. Due to the connection of the pressure equalization pipe, flow direction from top to bottom is not available.

Valve
  1. Right after the installation, the product contains gas and the float (P) ④ is lowered by its own weight, so the valve ⑦ is closed.
  2. When condensate comes into the product, the float lifts up by buoyancy, floats up and the valve ⑦ opens to discharge condensate.
  3. When condensate is discharged, the condensate level falls and the float's buoyancy to the float decreases, and the valve ⑦ closes.
  4. Condensate can be discharged by repeating the operation of 2 and 3 thereafter.

Safety Factor

The discharge capacity shown in the charts is the maximum value. In designing a system, select an air trap with a sufficient safety factor (more than two times the regular level).

Installation and Piping Example

Yoshitake TSF-11AT flow direction adjustment instructions

  • Adjust direction of the name plate in no pressure condition after installation.
  • After adjusting the direction, remove the plug on the top side and connect the pressure equalization pipe.
  • Due to the connection of pressure equalization pipe, flow direction top to bottom is not available.

Installation Cautions

  • Wrong posture hampers proper operation. Allowable tilt from horizontal line is within ±10°.
  • Do not turn the cock unless the pressure inside of the product and piping is completely discharged. Forcing the cock to turn may result in damage to the cock.
  • Be sure to install an equalizing line to prevent condensate accumulation. Install an equalizing line above the condensate level in the product.
