Control Function B (CFB)

The 20024508 model features Control Function B (CFB), which is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way on/off valve, normally opened by spring force.

Flow Direction Below Seat

Depending on the variant, the valve is closed against the medium flow either with spring force or pilot pressure. As the medium is present under the swivel plate, the operating pressure contributes to the opening of the valve.

WARNING

Valve leak if there is too little minimum pilot pressure or high operating pressure! Minimum pilot pressure for CFB that is too low, or failing to meet the permitted operating pressure, can cause a leak in the valve seat.

  • Adhere to minimum pilot pressure.
  • Do not exceed the operating pressure.

Safety Instructions

DANGER

Risk of injury due to high pressure in the system or device.

  • Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and ventilate or empty the lines.

WARNING

Risk of injury when opening the actuator. The actuator contains a spring under tension. When the actuator is opened, the spring will jump out and may cause injuries.

  • Do not open the actuator.
