BURKERT 20107485 3320 Electromotive 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 3320 electromotive 2/2-way angle seat valve. Features rapid flow shut-off, safety position via energy storage, and fieldbus compatibility. Up to 25 bar.

BURKERT 20107485 3320 Electromotive 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve

Burkert Type 3320 is an innovative electromotive 2/2-way angle seat valve designed for demanding shut-off tasks under harsh operating conditions. The electromotive actuator with a ball screw moves the swivel plate at a particularly high speed of up to 6 mm/s to the desired end position, reacting almost instantaneously to process signals. The electromotive actuator and shut-off valve are perfectly adapted to each other with a closed design and robust surface, ensuring the hygienic requirements of fast and residue-free cleaning.

Harsh ambient conditions are no problem for the Type 3320 due to its IP65/IP67 degree of protection and high impact and vibration resistance. Thanks to the tried-and-tested, self-adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals, the angle seat valve achieves maximum service life and tightness. If necessary, a safety position can be approached by an optional SAFEPOS energy-pack in case of a power failure. The fieldbus-compatible Type 3320 offers many helpful functions for process monitoring, valve diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.

Maintenance and Service

Risk of injury from high pressure

Before working on the system or device, switch off the pressure and vent or drain lines.

Risk of crushing due to mechanically moving parts

Perform installation and maintenance work only in the isolated state. For devices with SAFEPOS energy-pack: Completely drain the energy-pack and wait until the LED illuminated ring goes out.

Changing the Swivel Plate Set

Before the swivel plate set can be changed, the actuator must be removed from the valve body. Ensure the valve is in the open position before removal.

BURKERT 20107485 Burkert 3320 changing the swivel plate set

  1. Support the swivel plate on the cylindrical part using a prism.
  2. Knock out the dowel pin using a suitable pin punch.
  3. Remove the swivel plate.
  4. Place the new swivel plate on the spindle and align the holes.
  5. Position the dowel pin and carefully knock it in using a hammer, centering it relative to the spindle axis.

Running X.TUNE

After installing the actuator onto a new valve body, run the X.TUNE function to adjust the position controller to the physical stroke of the actuating element. Never run X.TUNE under medium pressure.
