Yoshitake TSF-8AT Float Type Air Trap (Max 2.1 MPa)

The Yoshitake TSF-8AT is a ductile cast iron float type air trap designed for condensate drainage in air and other non-dangerous fluid lines, featuring stainless steel internals and a maximum temperature of 220℃.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Float Type Air Trap (Max 2.1 MPa)

The Yoshitake TSF-8AT is a lever float type air trap designed to effectively discharge condensate from air and other non-dangerous fluid lines. Utilizing the difference in specific gravity between air and condensate, it operates reliably without retention. The main internal parts, including the float and valve, are constructed from stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance and durability.

Features

  1. The TSF-8AT can discharge condensate effectively without retention due to reliable operation by difference in specific gravity between air and condensate.
  2. Since the main parts are attached on the cover and it is possible to dismount the cover with the body connected to the piping, inspection and parts replacement can be conducted easily.
  3. Excellent corrosion resistance and durability because the main parts are all made of stainless steel.
  4. A strainer is incorporated to protect the internal parts from foreign substances and improve durability.

Piping Recommendations

  • If the product is installed close to a regulating valve, make sure to install the product at the inlet side of the regulating valve.
  • To install the product in a main pipe, be sure to install the product so that condensate can be discharged from the bottom of the main pipe by drip leg.
  • End portion of discharge pipe shall be off the water surface in the pit.
  • Install a bypass valve across the product, and install stop valves at the inlet and outlet side of the product.

*Remove the plug on the "TOP" side and install an equalizing line.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Cover and Float Assembly

Disassembly

Loosen the bolts fixing the cover with a ring wrench (width across flat: 19 mm), and remove the cover and gasket from the body. Pull out the screen from the body.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Disassembly 2

Reassembly

Connect the float holder and float (P) assembly with the spindle. Check that the float (P) assembly moves smoothly, and that the seat surface of the valve is in contact with that of the valve seat.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Float Check Correct The stopper is on the center of the cock.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Float Check Incorrect WRONG: The stopper is on the outer circumference of the cock.

Attach the screen to the body. The screen can be inserted from either end.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Screen Attachment

Install the cover gasket to the cover. Make the oval-shaped holes on the cover and on the cover gasket in the same position. Make sure to use a new cover gasket. Apply lubricant agent to the cover gasket.

Yoshitake TSF-8AT Cover Gasket Installation

Install the cover to the body. Tighten the bolt with a torque wrench (width across flat: 19 mm) with torque of 45 N・m. Do not use an impact wrench.
