Yoshitake TA-22ML Float Vent Valve, Cold and Hot Water

Yoshitake TA-22ML is a compact float type air vent valve designed for building equipment, industrial equipment, and building complexes. It automatically discharges air inside piping without any manual operation, preventing the decrease of heat efficiency, noise production, or corrosion of equipment piping caused by the commingling of air.

Features

  1. Easy to clean by removing the valve seat even if scale or dirt deposits on the valve disc or valve seat.
  2. Vinyl hose (hose bore φ6mm) can be connected easily to the TA-22ML. Do not remove the end cap while usage.
  3. Even if water leaks out of the TA-22ML due to failure, it can be stopped immediately by removing the end cap and tightening the joint cap, ensuring safety.

Operational Description

  1. After installation, air exists in the product, and the float is lowered by its own weight. In this condition, since the valve is kept open by the lever, air is discharged outside by the internal pressure of the system.
  2. When air is discharged, hot or cold water flows into the product to make the float come up on buoyancy and the force that keeps the valve open through the lever is lost. Then the valve is closed by the spring and pressure to the valve.
  3. When air bubbles are generated in the system and collected into the product, the water level inside the product drops, and the float loses buoyancy and opens the valve to discharge air.
  4. Then the operation goes back to process 2. By repeating processes 2 and 3, air in the system can be continuously removed.

Performance Enhancement

If using the product with an AO-2 air out (air separator), higher performance can be obtained.

Precautions for Installation

  • Remove foreign matter and scales from the lines and install the valve vertically where air likely gathers.
  • Prepare enough space for inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • When installing the product to piping, tighten the square part of the inlet side with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
  • Lead the vinyl hose to the outlet side of the product to a safe place in case water sprays out by scale inside piping and air discharge in the initial stage of water passing.
  • Make sure that the end of the piping or tube of the product outlet has a space of 50mm over from the flood level rim of the vent.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Warning

Completely discharge internal pressure of the product, piping, and equipment. Cool down the product prior to disassembling or maintenance in case of high-temperature fluid to prevent scalds or bodily injury.
